The Beverly Hills Farmers' Market: A Sunday Guide

Open every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, on Civic Center Drive, with two hours of free parking. Here's what to know before you go.

On Sunday mornings, the 9300 block of Civic Center Drive turns into one of the most pleasant places in the city to shop for food. The Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market is a certified farmers’ market run by the city’s Community Services department. The city describes it as selling California-grown, fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, along with juices, breads and specialty items.

The essentials

  • When: Every Sunday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.
  • Where: 9300 block of Civic Center Drive, near City Hall.
  • Parking: Two hours free in the Civic Center parking garage.
  • For kids: a petting zoo every Sunday and a Kid Zone with arts and crafts on the third Sunday of each month.
  • Updates: the city posts special events on Instagram and Facebook at @communitylifebh.

Coming up at the market

  • Sunday, Nov. 8: a free shredding, compost and pumpkin recycling event, 8 a.m. to noon. It’s a good chance to clear out old paperwork and your Halloween pumpkins in one trip.
  • Sunday, Nov. 22: the annual Holiday Craft Fair, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with handmade holiday gifts.

How to shop it

A certified market means the produce is sold by the farmers who grow it, or their staff. That makes it worth asking how something was grown or when it was picked. Go early for the best selection, and bring a reusable bag. If you’re also going to Rodeo Drive or the park, remember that the free parking is limited to two hours.

Vendors change with the seasons. The city keeps a current list of participating farmers and vendors.
